'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' - Delayed Until August 2016
A Cog in the Machine

Here's some disappointing news, the release of 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' has been pushed back to August 23rd, 2016. Eidos Montreal confirmed the delay today moving the highly anticipated videogame back six months from the original February release. 'Makind Divided' is the sequel to the 2011 hit 'Human Revolution' which revitalised the sleeping franchise that began with the original 'Deus Ex' in 2001.
Studio head David Anfossi attributes the delay to making sure the game is up to the quality we expect, he writes in a blog post:
“it will require more time in tuning, iterations, and refinement to meet our high standards.”
The uber-awesome dystopian cyberpunk series is something I'm a big fan of and the reboots new protagonist Adam Jensen is a great mix of Solid Snake and Robocop with a dash of Christian Bale's Batman thrown in for good measure. The games provide varied stealth and action gameplay set in an immersive futuristic landscape that's just the right shade of Blade Runner. Chocie plays a huge part as well and you'll be mulling over your in-game decisions long after the credits roll. While the delay is frustrating, it's sure to be worth it and hey the waiting is half the fun right? We're looking forward to following all the updates on the title and we'll keep you in the loop right here at Cape and Cowl.
