'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' - Delayed Until August 2016
A Cog in the Machine

Here's some disappointing news, the release of 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' has been pushed back to August 23rd, 2016. Eidos Montreal confirmed the delay today moving the highly anticipated videogame back six months from the original February release. 'Makind Divided' is the sequel to the 2011 hit 'Human Revolution' which revitalised the sleeping franchise that began with the original 'Deus Ex' in 2001.
Studio head David Anfossi attributes the delay to making sure the game is up to the quality we expect, he writes in a blog post:
“it will require more time in tuning, iterations, and refinement to meet our high standards.”
The uber-awesome dystopian cyberpunk series is something I'm a big fan of and the reboots new protagonist Adam Jensen is a great mix of Solid Snake and Robocop with a dash of Christian Bale's Batman thrown in for good measure. The games provide varied stealth and action gameplay set in an immersive futuristic landscape that's just the right shade of Blade Runner. Chocie plays a huge part as well and you'll be mulling over your in-game decisions long after the credits roll. While the delay is frustrating, it's sure to be worth it and hey the waiting is half the fun right? We're looking forward to following all the updates on the title and we'll keep you in the loop right here at Cape and Cowl.
Following the release of 'Batman: Arkham Knight' we now have updates on the roll-out of downloadable content for the game. First up is Batgirl: A Matter of Family and Rocksteady have revealed the first trailer for the Arkham Episode and we're more than excited to share it with you, check it out in the video below.
The episode takes place before the vents of the first game in the series Batman: Arkham Asylum and sees Barbara Gordon don the Batgirl costume in order to save her father, Commissioner Gordon from the mad clutches of the Joker. Batgirl will be aided by Robin in this adventure and the duo will have to make their way through a Joker designed nautical themed amusement park/deathtrap to reach the Commissioner.
Rocksteady have detailed that although Batgirl won’t be able to match the strength gamers are used to when playing as the dark knight there will be a balance to her physical abilities and computer hacking
skills coming together in a powerful combination. The Dual Play function from “Arkham Knight” will also return to the delight of many fans, Batgirl and Robin join forces and players will be given total control in a tag-team match-up against The Joker
and Harley Quinn. Another awesome detail is that Harley Quinn will be wearing her original costume from “Batman:
The Animated Series” for the first time in the Arkham series! The Episode has been created by “Arkham Origins” developers WB Games Montreal, who also
brought us the Red Hood and Harley Quinn story packs. “We wanted to recreate the feeling of being trapped in a bizarre and
unique open environment playing a game of cat and mouse with the Joker,”
says Justin Vazquez, design producer of the DLC. “Our intention was
that Batgirl should be less powerful than Batman, but that Batgirl plus
hacking could give her opportunities do things that not even Batman can
pull off.”
The DLC comes complete with additional side quests, Joker Collectibles and even more Easter Eggs, Batgirl: A Matter of Family will debut July 14 for Arkham Knight DLC season-pass holders (PS4 and Xbox One) or separately on July 21
