The Justice League Dark, or JLD, is a fictional superhero team that appears in comic books published by DC Comics. First appearing in Justice League Dark #1 (November 2011), the Justice League Dark originally featured John Constantine, Madame Xanadu, Deadman, Shade, the Changing Man and Zatanna. The team consists of the more supernatural members of the DC Universe, handling situations deemed unfit for the traditional Justice League.

Actor Matt Ryan is set to reprise his role as John Constantine after the NBC television adaptation was cancelled.

Justice League Dark will release digitally and on home video in Fall 2016.

Square Enix have revealed a straight to video and download tie-in movie to Final Fantasy XV that will release before the videogame this year

The feature-length movie also features the vocal talents of Luna Headey as Princess Luna, Sean Bean as King Regis and Aaron Paul as Nyx. Kingsglaive will be released by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in 2016, before Final Fantasy XV, and will be available for streaming or download worldwide.

If you don't watch Outcast, then I highly recommend you change that as soon as possible. For those of you that have been gripped by the first season so far, here is a little tease of what's to come for the final three episodes.

Kyle Barnes has had a series of misfortunes in his life; his mother would beat him as a child and he was accused of attacking his own daughter. After attending an exorcism in his native town, he is convinced his mother and his wife were possessed and he was not the source of them going bad. He therefore teams up with Reverend Anderson to try and save people that are possessed by demons while putting up with the residents of his town who think he's bad news and would deserve to be in jail.

Based on the best-selling comicbook from the mind of Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) Outcast is some seriously dark and awesome viewing. For those in the UK Outcast is available on FOX Tuesdays at 22:00.

Star Trek: Discovery is an upcoming American television series created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman for CBS All Access. It is the first series produced specifically for that service, and the first Star Trek series since Star Trek: Enterprise concluded in 2005. Set to premiere on CBS in January 2017 before moving to All Access, the series will introduce new characters to the Star Trek franchise, and will not be related to the 2016 film Star Trek Beyond. Fuller serves as showrunner on the series.

New characters to the Star Trek universe seek new worlds and civilizations, while exploring the franchise's signature contemporary themes.

Captain Marvel is one of the most mysterious and highly anticipated projects in the upcoming Marvel Studios line-up. We now have the news that actress Brie Larson will take on the role of Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel!

The news was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con following months of rumors and speculation linking the Oscar-winning actress to the role.

Captain Marvel is a mainstay of Marvel comics and the news of a confirmed solo movie and such a talented actress taking on the part is bound to get excitement levels on the rise. A hero that is just at home on Earth or in more space-bound adventures Captain Marvel promises to enrich the wonderful line-up of Marvel heroes we have on screen already and her inclusion to the MCU raises all sorts of possibilities for the upcoming Infinity War movies in which Larson will make her debut as the superhero.

Captain Marvel is set for release March 2019 and Marvel Studios is still on the hunt for a director.

The Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con gave fans a look at a new piece of concept art from Spider-Man: Homecoming. Marvel always show off some great concept art from their films which usually translate into a scene we will absolutely see in the finished film so let's get excited for this throwdown between Spidey and  now confirmed big bad - The Vulture! Sony pictures and Marvel Studios are collaborating on the film which will feature Tom Holland reprising his role as Spider-Man from Captain America: Civil War and Michael Keaton as The Vulture. Robert Downey Jr is set to appear in his iconic role of Tony Stark AKA Iron Man!

The official synopsis of the film was revealed during the presentation.

“A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Marvel Studios’ “Captain: Civil War,” begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in Spider-Man: Homecoming.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming is still in production and set for a July 7th 2017 release in theatres.

Doctor Strange is the story of gifted surgeon Stephen Strange who travels the world to learn from the Ancient One after a career-ending car accident. Along the way he will cross paths with the most horrific evils known to man.

The film is directed by Scott Derickson with a screenplay by Jon Spaihts and C. Robert Cargill and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikklesen and Tilda Swinton.

Marvel's Doctor Strange is set for release November 4th 2016.

The Guy Ritchie directed medieval adventure stars Charlie Hunman in the title role and the overall tone of the film is a more fantastical account of the mythological history surrounding King Arthur. If you're looking for a comparison it seems Ritchie's recent outings with Sherlock Holmes are a good indicator of what to expect. Jude Law and Eric Bana also star in the Warner Bros. produced picture and the film is set for release in March 2017.

The first trailer for American Gods has been revealed! Are you excited for this Neil Gaiman adaptation?


The series will focus on the mysterious Shadow, a man who is released from prison a few days early after serving a three-year sentence for bank robbery when his beloved wife Laura is killed in a car accident. Flying home for the funeral, Shadow is seated next to a man who introduces himself only as Mr. Wednesday, and this man knows more about Shadow's life, both past and present, than is possible. Shadow comes to learn that Wednesday is, in fact, the god Odin of Norse mythology and that all of the gods that mankind has ever believed in are alive in human form and live among regular people. Shadow is soon thrust into a gathering conflict between the Old gods and the so-called "New gods," the gods of money and technology who believe there is no longer room on Earth for the old gods.

SDCC has thrown up some awesome reveals so far and there is plenty more to come! The Luke Cage Season 1 teaser has made it's way online and it's totally awesome! Marvel and Netflix have also shared even more goods with a sweet sizzle reel that will help ease the wait for more news on the upcoming superhero projects!


After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive who attempts to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But soon he is pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

Mike Colter takes on the lead role of Luke Cage, reprising his role from Jessica Jones for the stand alone series. Cage will then join up with the with Daredevil, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones for The Defenders! Season 1 of Luke Cage hits on September 30th this year with the other projects lined up for releases in 2017.

The Netflix series will join the likes of Daredevil and Jessica Jones in focusing on an adventure with a street level Marvel hero in a world shared with the likes of Iron Man and the Avengers. Marvel have also revealed the snazzy teaser poster which you can view above.

In Marvel’s Iron Fist, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting his world around him with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist

Season 1 of Iron Fist will release in it's entirety on Netflix in 2017.

American Gods is comin to San Diego Comic-Con and we have the first poster for the series to share with you all. Star Wars Celebration continues and EA Games and DICE have revealed a stunning new trailer for their rendition of the epic Death Star showdown from the original Star Wars Trilogy!

Coming in September, Season Pass holders will receive the third digital expansion pack featuring new maps – on ground and in space – new weapons and star cards and two new heroes, including the bounty hunter Bossk and everyone’s favorite Wookie, Chewbacca.

DICE also teased a Rogue One focused fourth expansion that will allow players to take control of new characters Jyn Erso and Dir. Orson Krennic

Telltale Games have confiremd the release dates for their highly anticipated Batman adaptation! Batman The Telltale series will follow the game developer's trademark episodic format and will debut the first episode in August on consoles, PC/Mac, and iOS or Android devices. In a more innovative step the Batman series will be made available to purchase at retailers starting September 13th in North America as a special Season Pass Disc. This dis will include the first episode with access to the next four as they become available for download via online updates. The release date is on September 16th for Europe. Expect Telltale to reveal footage and more information at San Diego Comic-Con next week.

Telltale Games CEO and Co-Founder Kevin Bruner had this to say about the upcoming series: “We’ve been hard at work at Telltale creating an all-new iteration of the iconic Batman story that puts players in the suit of billionaire Bruce Wayne, just as much as it will put them behind the mask, deciding how to carefully navigate a complex drama, rich with action, crime, corruption, and villainy lurking around every corner of Gotham City. DC All Access have featured the upcoming Batman: The Killing Joke animated movie in their latest episode and showed off more footage featuring Batgirl in action. The new sequences have been added to the movie to help flesh out the importance of Barbara Gordon and her part in the Bat Family.

Voice acting legend Tara Strong returns to voice Batgirl and fan favourites Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill also reprise their roles as Batman and The Joker respectively. Based on the graphic novel written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Brian Bolland, Batman: The Killing Joke is set for release digitally and on home video on July 25th 2016.

The Walking Dead season 6 ended on a serious cliffhanger and now AMC are tormenting fans further with a teaser poster for Season 7 that shows Rick Grimes and company about to face the wrath of Negan and his trusty instrument of pain - Lucille. Who will end up on the wrong end of a baseball bat is still anyone's guess but we sure as heck can't wait to find out!

Expect More Updates At SDCC

Warner Bros. Pictures have revelead several new images of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. The pictures show off a fresh look at the solo film directed by Patty Jenkins which will be the first to feature the iconic hero in a standalone movie. Expect more reveals and possibly our first full length trailer for the film at San Diego Comic-Con taking place July 21-24.

The film also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor and is set for release November June 2nd 2017 before Gadot teams up with Ben Affleck's Batman, Henry Cavill's Superman for the Justice League movie on November 17th 2017 where audiences will also see The FLash, Aquaman and Cyborg take to the movie screen.
