A steampunk Batman hunts Jack the Ripper in turn of the century Gotham City in Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, the newest entry in the popular DC Universe Original Movies line of animated films.


Batman: Gotham by Gaslight will be available on Digital HD on January 23, 2018 and on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on February 6, 2018.

The Dark Knight Takes on Jack the Ripper

Check out an extended look at the next upcoming DC Animated Feature - Batman: Gotham By Gaslight.

An adaptation of the popular 1989 tale that introduced the Victorian Era Dark Knight who was in pursuit of Jack the Ripper, the original comic was written by Brian Augustyn and drawn by Mike Mignola of Hellboy fame. Batman: Gotham by Gaslight is largely considered to be the very first “Elseworlds” tale. At 48 pages, the original comic is relatively slim, meaning the movie version will offer an expanded version of the story, something that’s sure to delight fans of its cobblestone-paved world.

No release date as of yet but expect this to release near Winter 2017.

The Justice League Dark, or JLD, is a fictional superhero team that appears in comic books published by DC Comics. First appearing in Justice League Dark #1 (November 2011), the Justice League Dark originally featured John Constantine, Madame Xanadu, Deadman, Shade, the Changing Man and Zatanna. The team consists of the more supernatural members of the DC Universe, handling situations deemed unfit for the traditional Justice League.

Actor Matt Ryan is set to reprise his role as John Constantine after the NBC television adaptation was cancelled.

Justice League Dark will release digitally and on home video in Fall 2016.

DC Comics fans are getting a big treat next week as The CW network are set to air a special programme next week titled “Dawn of the Justice League”. The show will be hosted by the legendary Kevin Smith and DC Comics director Geoff Johns who will both show off upcoming DC movies - 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', 'Suicide Squad' and as a bit of a surprise; the currently shooting in Europe 'Wonder Woman' movie.

The big reveal in the show will be the debut of a brand new 'Suicide Squad' trailer with a“first look” at Wonder Woman also teased as an added bonus. Take a look at the promo video below and do not miss this!

The special will air on The CW on January 19th at 9:30pm.

New On-Set photos have surfaced showing filming for the new Patty Jenkin's directed 'Wonder Woman' movie. The Film stars Gal Gadot in the title role plus Chris Pine as Steve Trevor and both actors were spotted duringthe shoot on location in Thames on Southend in Essex. Seems like all those rumours about a World War 1 setting are true just look at the costumes and set design. Check out the photos below.

Fox Confirm Mid Season Finale Treat

FOX have revealed that the mid season finale for Gotham Season 2 will include a little something extra for the viewers - a sneak peek at the upcoming 'Batman v Superman' movie! The dream is another trailer full of new footage but realistically this will likely be material we've already seen released but hey, you never know! Hopefully some focus on the supporting cast may come to fruition as we've seen plenty of the two leading heroes already and some more context would be sweet. Either way it will be great to see the tease during an episode of 'Gotham' two WB projects that seemed a pipe dream merely a decade ago.

The hit FOX show has continued a strong run with great viewership and has a whole host of new Batman villains set to appear this season including Mr Freeze and Dr Hugo Strange. We'll bring you more updates as they come. 

Gotham airs at 9PM Mondays on FOX, the series will return to the UK in Spring 2016.

Take a closer look at the new Batmobile from 'Batman and Superman: Dawn of Justice', in this new video from Variant Comics. On a trip around the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Los Angeles, Variant Comics got the VIP treatment and got a real up close look at Batman's new ride as well as the iconic Batmobiles from previous movies. It's a great watch for any bat-fan but if it's just the 'BvS' Batmobile you want to check out out then skip to around 8:50.
