Nicole Kidman Linked with Major Wonder Woman Role
DC Comics Adaptation Set to Follow 'Batman v Superman'
By Alex Burns
According to an article over at The Wrap Hollywood star Nicole Kidman is in ongoing negotiations to join the upcoming 'Wonder Woman' solo movie. Warner Bros are developing the DC Comics adaptation as part of their extended superhero universe on film which includes 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'Suicide Squad'. If true, Kidman would join Gal Gadot who plays the lead role and Chris Pine who has recently been cast as love interest Steve Trevor.
Director Patty Jenkins is helming the project and Oscar-winner Kidman is up for a role described as a "high-ranking Amazonian Warrior". While this is a pretty vague character description we can speculate that given Nicole Kidman's age at 48 and her looks the immediate comic book character that springs to mind is Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons. She's a fierce warrior for sure and also the biological mother to Wonder Woman. It's unclear at this point if the film will follow the comicbook storyline, very little has been revealed about the plot of themovie but we have to admit, Kidman would be a pretty shrwed casting choice and make a great addition to the film.

If all this pans out then this would mark Nicole Kidman's first return to a DC Comics property after her role as Dr. Chase Meridian in the 1995 smash-hit 'Batman Forever' alongside Val Kilmer as the caped crusader. Remember that one?
