Fox Confirm Mid Season Finale Treat

By Alex Burns

FOX have revealed that the mid season finale for Gotham Season 2 will include a little something extra for the viewers - a sneak peek at the upcoming 'Batman v Superman' movie! The dream is another trailer full of new footage but realistically this will likely be material we've already seen released but hey, you never know! Hopefully some focus on the supporting cast may come to fruition as we've seen plenty of the two leading heroes already and some more context would be sweet. Either way it will be great to see the tease during an episode of 'Gotham' two WB projects that seemed a pipe dream merely a decade ago.

The hit FOX show has continued a strong run with great viewership and has a whole host of new Batman villains set to appear this season including Mr Freeze and Dr Hugo Strange. We'll bring you more updates as they come.

Gotham airs at 9PM Mondays on FOX, the series will return to the UK in Spring 2016.

The novel titled "Cross Fire" is sure to be one of many to tie in with the superhero movie and prepare for a whole slew of merchandise to come!

"After saving Metropolis from an alien invasion, Superman is now famous around the world," reads the book's synopsis (via Amazon). "Meanwhile Gotham City's own guardian, Batman, would rather fight crime from the shadows. But when the devious Doctor Aesop escapes from Arkham Asylum, the two very different heroes begin investigating the same case and a young boy is caught in the cross fire. This action-packed junior novel tells an original story about the stars of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The book also includes a full-color insert with images from the feature film"

Batman Cinematic History Video - Batsuits, Batmobiles, Gadgets and More!

Batman Cinematic History Video

Batsuits, Batmobiles, Gadgets and More!

By Alex Burns

Variant Comics have been given the VIP treatment on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour and have shared an awesome video showcasing the history of Batman on-film. Host Arris Quinones is treated to an in-depth experience in the WB museum and goes over every Batman movie in detail with some nice nuggets of trivia thrown in. Grab a brew and check out the goods in the player below.

If you haven't visited the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in LA then I would highly recommend it, I went last year and it's certainly an experience I'd love to repeat. I would say that if you want to check out everything the museum has to offer and not feel rushed then it might be worth taking the tour twice. You only get a small 20 minute slot to walk around before they whisk you off to the set of a TV show that if you're like me, have zero interest in and would much rather be left with the Batsuits.

There's even more to see now on the tour with the release of  'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' coming fast and I can only imagine it wil get more popular after the release of that film. WB are finally giving the Batman franchise the internal recognition it deserves and putting on par with the kind of treatment the Harry Potter movies received, I remember taking the tour back in 2004 (notably before Batman Begins) and there was barely a mention of the Batman films, oh how the times have changed! Keep it locked at Cape and Cowl for more Dark Knight developments.
