Olivia Munn talks 'X-Men Apocalypse' Role and Costume
Actress Plays Dangerous Mutant, Psylocke

EW recently did a cover story on the upcoming superhero epic 'X-Men: Apocalypse' and ran some new photos from the film and a couple of interviews with the cast. Olivia Munn will play the role of Psylocke, a fan-favourite mutant from the 90's who will be making her first appearance in the X-Men movie franchise as a servant of Apocalypse himself. Check out a few of Munn's comments on the movie and her revealing superhero costume.
When asked about the excitement surrounding her role in the movie, “My sister just graduated magna cum laude from law school. My little brother just became a master physicist, he’s going to go get his PhD. That’s where they’re at. And yet we talk about X-Men as if we’re talking about the Civil War.”
Turns out that Apocalypse actually decides the outfits for all his minions and Munn addresses the costumes appeal,“Psylocke’s outfit or uniform or suit or whatever you want to call it is very sexual,” admits Munn. “I’ve got like my thigh-highs and a halter, but the thing about that, and that was important, is that it doesn’t matter what I’m wearing as long as we’re all aware of who she is. She’s very strong and she’s very lethal and she’s very powerful, and it doesn’t really matter what she’s wearing as long as you have that strength and that presence.”
The skin tight suit did cause a few issues on-set though... “Now it fits like a glove, but it’s kind of hard because there’s been times where I’m pulling and it pops like a balloon, which did happen day one,” admits Munn. “Day one, I was like, ‘Uh, guys, uh, do we have a backup? Sorry I popped my crotch.”
For a number of reasons we cannot wait to see Munn suit up as Psylocke in 'X-Men: Apocalypse' the film is set for release 2016 and will is directed by Bryan Singer who is responsible for the best entries into the franchise already so we're expecting great things!
