Ezra Miller Addresses 'The Flash' Movie and TV Show

Solo Film Outing for Speedster Hero set for 2018

Everyone loves 'The Flash' TV Show, it's a huge success and we can't wait for the second season, there is a weird little thought in a lot of peoples minds though... "y'know they're making a Flash movie right?". Yeah that's right a movie AND a TV Show?! Yeah that's right! DC's movie universe is moving full steam ahead after brand new trailers for Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad debuted at Comic-Con and it's only a matter of time before we learn more about the upcoming solo superhero films. One of these solo outings is 'The Flash' and it's not Grant Gustin suiting up for the big screen, it's relative unknown Ezra Miller.

We've heard little about the project other than a few possible plot points for the movie, Miller has now spoken out about the project and he is clearly enthused about becoming the fastest man alive. The Actor didn't shy away from talking about Grant Gustin's Barry Allen either. Miller is certainly energetic and if his Flash is as charismatic in the final film then this may be our first indicator as to why Zack Snyder chose him for the role. Check a few choice comments from the interview and the full clip in the player below.

“Barry Allen is the hero of the Silver Age who follows a lot of really interesting discoveries in physics,” says Miller. “Where he comes from is where we figured out the Event Horizon was there, and he was the character who was created through our mythos machine of comic books to break that Event Horizon, so you could explore in fantasy… I think that’s an interesting idea. And, what’s an interesting idea to me is, ‘What the f**k does that do to someone?’”

So what of CW's Flash TV series? “I’m not avoiding it at all, I think it’s awesome! C’mon, we’re The Flash! It’s parallel universes! Grant Gustin is The Flash AND I’m The Flash, don’t you see? It’s the Event Horizon, we crossed it baby! Grant and I are chillin’, we’re gonna have a race, it’s gonna be dope. Like Jay Garrick and Barry Allen back in the day.”

“I’ve been a comic guy, but I’m going in as hard as possible because I have a serious excuse to,” Miller enthuses. “I have the ultimate license to geek out SO HARD all the time!”
