Ezra Miller Addresses 'The Flash' Movie and TV Show - Solo Film Outing for Speedster Hero set for 2018

Ezra Miller Addresses 'The Flash' Movie and TV Show

Solo Film Outing for Speedster Hero set for 2018

By Alex Burns

Everyone loves 'The Flash' TV Show, it's a huge success and we can't wait for the second season, there is a weird little thought in a lot of peoples minds though... "y'know they're making a Flash movie right?". Yeah that's right a movie AND a TV Show?! Yeah that's right! DC's movie universe is moving full steam ahead after brand new trailers for Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad debuted at Comic-Con and it's only a matter of time before we learn more about the upcoming solo superhero films. One of these solo outings is 'The Flash' and it's not Grant Gustin suiting up for the big screen, it's relative unknown Ezra Miller.

We've heard little about the project other than a few possible plot points for the movie, Miller has now spoken out about the project and he is clearly enthused about becoming the fastest man alive. The Actor didn't shy away from talking about Grant Gustin's Barry Allen either. Miller is certainly energetic and if his Flash is as charismatic in the final film then this may be our first indicator as to why Zack Snyder chose him for the role. Check a few choice comments from the interview and the full clip in the player below.

“Barry Allen is the hero of the Silver Age who follows a lot of really interesting discoveries in physics,” says Miller. “Where he comes from is where we figured out the Event Horizon was there, and he was the character who was created through our mythos machine of comic books to break that Event Horizon, so you could explore in fantasy… I think that’s an interesting idea. And, what’s an interesting idea to me is, ‘What the f**k does that do to someone?’”

So what of CW's Flash TV series? “I’m not avoiding it at all, I think it’s awesome! C’mon, we’re The Flash! It’s parallel universes! Grant Gustin is The Flash AND I’m The Flash, don’t you see? It’s the Event Horizon, we crossed it baby! Grant and I are chillin’, we’re gonna have a race, it’s gonna be dope. Like Jay Garrick and Barry Allen back in the day.”

“I’ve been a comic guy, but I’m going in as hard as possible because I have a serious excuse to,” Miller enthuses. “I have the ultimate license to geek out SO HARD all the time!”

Harley Quinn is Caught in the Rain in New "Suicide Squad" Set Photos

Harley Quinn is Caught in the Rain in New "Suicide Squad" Set Photos

Plus Will Smith's Deadshot Training

By Alex Burns

Following the first batch of set photos released last week, we've got another look at the filming taking place in Toronto for Warner Bros' "Suicide Squad". The pictures are again taken at night and show Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn filming scenes in the rain, we get a more detailed look her costume and the small details on show are great and really in keeping with the character as she appears in the comics. There are a few other snaps which catch several of the other members of Task Force X, Will Smith's Deadshot in particular.

Will Smith has also been showing off his action movie credentials with a pretty cool look at the gun training he received for the film, his character, Deadshot, is an uncanny marksman and it looks like the filmmakers want to make sure Will Smith knows his way around firearms.

There's been plenty of coverage since the film began shooting last month and David Ayer has been pretty vocal on social media outlets as well as giving a TV interview. Suicide Squad will be the first DC property to follow Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, so Warner Bros will be keen to drum up as much interest as possible before release, Ben Affleck even looks set to appear to connect the movie more directly in audiences minds. Starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto as The Joker, "Suicide Squad" is set for release August 5th 2016.
