The Empire issue is on sale now and comes with covers featuring Jared Leto' Joker and Cara Delevigne as well. Those two actors have also commented on the upcoming DC movie in the Empire feature and talked up their respective roles giving us more of an idea of what to expect in the movie.

“She’s an ancient sorceress,” Delevingne says of Enchantress “A feral being. She’s been trapped for so long and now she’s finally let out… June is an adventure-seeker who’s always wanted some excitement. And she gets what she wished for, in an terrible way.”

Jared Leto discussed his preparation for the icoinic role.

“There was definitely a period of… detachment. I took a pretty deep dive. But this was a unique opportunity and I couldn’t imagine doing it another way. It was fun, playing those psychological games… It was painful, like giving birth out of my p***k-hole.”

Director David Ayer chimed in with some more on the Joker.

“If you don’t break rules, you’re not going to strike new ground,” he explains. “There’s a power to that character, and by some freaking miracle, through the incredible things Jared has done and the photography and all the other things that went into it, we’ve cooked up something transcendent.”

Producer Charles Roven who helemd the Dark Knight Trilogy with Christopher Nolan added a bit more context for this new Joker describing him as “more social” than Jokers past and adding that he is “a very successful and smart businessman.”

The Clown Prince Graces Empire Cover

With all the recent Batman v Superman news it's easy to forget that the next DC Comics adaptation 'Suicide Squad' is following a couple of months later. Once you remember though the floodgates of awesome are thrown wide open! We've got more to add to that tidal wave of epicness today with a fresh look at Jared Leto as the Joker and a few more snaps of Margot Robbie's Haley Quinn and co. in the new issue of Empire magazine. The cover itself is the standout showing off this new suitably outlandish Joker in garish colours and looking typically menacing. The images of Harleen Quinzel as working at Arkham Asylum with the Joker in an interview room are particularly intriguing, looks like the movie will stick close to the comic books as we see the Joker warp the mind of Quinzel transforming her into everyone's favourite criminally insane live wire; Harley Quinn. Check out the goods below plus that first Comic-Con trailer because... it's awesome!

Batman v Superman: Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck Interviews and Opening Sequence Description

Batman v Superman: Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck Interviews Plus Opening Sequence Description

More Reveals from the DC Comics Blockbuster

By Alex Burns

Some more 'Batman v Superman' news today! After the epic cover of Total Film was revealed we had to get our hands on a copy, there is a great feature on 'Dawn of Justice' in the December issue and we really recommend picking up the magazine for yourself. First things first though take a look at that epic cover without all magazine text, barcodes etc and revel in it's glory. All done? Good, now here's some highlights from the article, including comments from Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, a cool description of the opening sequence and some on-set photos. Check out the goods below!

We saw in the trailers for 'BvS' that Bruce Wayne in present in Metropolis when Superman fights Zod at the end of Man of Steel and by Henry Cavills comments it looks like that will be the opening "prologue" for the film
.
“What happens there is one of Bruce’s buildings gets destroyed and he’s trying to save all the people inside the building and he can’t. So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he does decide to turn against us?”

“He’s found himself in a place of harboring a tremendous amount of rage for Superman,” Affleck adds. “So it’s how he got there, and what that’s done to him, and what that’s done to people around him like Alfred, who are, I think, very scared and worried for him. It’s something that’s interesting and new.”

There's been a serious amount of buzz that Ben Affleck will direct as well as star in the next Batman solo film, so what does Afleck make of all the rumours?

“If I could make it work, yeah, Obviously that would be like a dream. The trick is, as to any movie, is to make sure that you – if you’re going to direct it – that you can make it good. You’ve got to have the right idea and the right take on it… Broadly speaking, it’s something I’d be open to, for sure. It’s a very exciting idea.”

"Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before."

Directed by Zack Snyder, 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' also stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane and is set for release worldwide March 25th 2016.
