'X-Men: Apocalypse' EW Cover Revealed Plus On-Set photos

Feast your Eyes on Earth's First Mutant

By Steven Carter

Hey X-Men fans! Entertainment Weekly has revealed new photos from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse! We finally get a decent pic of Apocalypse himself and also Psylocke. Other photos also reveal Storm’s look which appears to have taken cues from her more recent years in the comics! Loving that snow white mohawk! Magneto looks awesome in his new getup, as does Psylocke. Looks like she has been snatched straight out from the comic pages!

For those of you who were 90’s kids, Apocalypse’s appearance may conjure up some memories of another purple themed villain, Ivan Ooze, from a certain Power Rangers movie! (At least it does for me…)

We also see 'Days of Future Past' favourite Quicksilver and Mystique in body armour which looks similar to the style used in the previous film! Looks like Mystique is playing hero for now as well as she is seen in a shot alongside Professor X and co, in Cerebro. Bryan Singer’s massive ensemble cast includes the likes of James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult reprising their respective rolls. We also will be seeing Rose Byrne returning as CIA agent Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver and Lucas Hill as Havock.

The film introduces new stars too. We get Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke and Lana Condor as Jubilee. Oscar Isaac plays the big bad, Ivan… I mean Apocalypse who has been confirmed to be taking multiple forms just like the comics.

What do you guys think? Looking forward to this one? I for one have had my faith restored in this franchise since seeing first class, and with 'Deadpool' on the way, things are really looking up for the Fox owned franchise! Make sure you check out our full Comic-Con coverage of X-men Apocalypse here plus a trailer description as well.

The Batmobile Chases Down The Joker in New "Suicide Squad" Video - Batman is Back in Toronto!

The Batmobile Chases down The Joker in New "Suicide Squad" video

Batman is Back in Toronto!

By Alex Burns

There's been plenty of news from the set of David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" including a look at Task Force X taking up arms and Harley Quinn and The Joker having a domestic under a bridge. Now we've got the Batmobile speeding down the streets of Toronto! We already knew Ben Affleck would be appearing in the movie when he was spotted on-set a little while back but now we know for sure he will be appearing as Batman, he will be coming up against Jared Leto's Joker and he will be behind the wheel of the new Batmobile! The Batmobile is the same one that will be used in Zack Synder's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" and already looks like it will be become a fan-favourite when both films hit cinemas next year. Also worth noting is the Joker's flamboyant purple Lamborghini, complete with neon lighting! Whilst Jared Leto and Ben Affleck weren't present for filming it''s not unusual for action sequences like a car chase to shoot without the actors present, are Affleck and Leto together on a sound stage somewhere creating movie magic? Who knows? We certainly hope so! Check out the videos and let us know your thoughts, for more on "Suicide Squad" keep it locked here at Cape and Cowl.

Ryan Reynolds Meets Kid-Deadpool for the Make a Wish Foundation - Young Boy Meets His Hero

Ryan Reynolds Meets Kid-Deadpool for the Make a Wish Foundation

Young Boy Meets His Hero

By Alex Burns

You all know about Batkid but wait until you get a load of Kid-Deadpool! Tony Acevedo is a young boy battling Hodgkin's disease and he made a wish to visit the set of the new Deadpool movie and meet his hero. Organised through the Make a Wish Foundation, Tony was given access to the film set and spent the day hanging with Ryan Reynolds and even wore the actor's costume. Reynold's shared his experience on his Instagram page and gave a message of support to Acevedo in overcoming Hodgkin's disease. We wish Kid-Deadpool all the best, to learn more about how you can help support those diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease in the UK visit www.lymphomas.org.uk

Tony Acevedo asked Make A Wish Foundation if he could meet Deadpool. I wasn't expecting him to sneak the mask, put on the gloves, smile... and then beat Deadpool about the face, arms and jugular with blazing speed. Tony's next fight is with Hodgkin's Disease. Hodgkin's Disease best be wearing its brown pants. Huge thanks to @makeawishamerica

Ben Affleck in Toronto whilst Suicide Squad shoot scenes! On-set Pictures!

Ben Affleck in Toronto whilst Suicide Squad shoot scenes!

No Joke

By Dan Uppington.

What's this? A Bat? In Toronto? Oh boy o boy o boy! Welcome to Speculation-Ville. Population; us! As the shoot for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad continues in Toronto, photos have emerged of the Caped Crusader himself Ben Affleck arriving in town and even newer pictures of Bat-fleck all suited up (Prada, not Kevlar) an heading into what could be a closed set style warehouse, as most brooding billionaires do (with grey hair and all)

So is Ben on a casual business trip to the central city of television and film, perhaps to discuss future prospects and his next career move? Or was this in fact a flying visit by Bruce Wayne to drop in at the secret base of A.R.G.U.S to discuss the hazards of Amanda Waller’s callous practises in rounding up “meta humans” for a certain team?

Or is it just for the pure fun of breaking the Internet that both Ben Affleck and Jared Leto happen to be in the same city, at the same time, and are destined to violently intertwine in the same cinematic universe? After all, Jared’s been hard at work transforming himself into our generation’s deserving incarnation of The Joker, with Ben Affleck also redefining himself to become The Batman we all truly deserve on screen.

Leto shared this picture showing off his ripped Joker physique

NOW is the time, David Ayer, to release a group shot of Suicide Squad, in costume and in character. Set the Internet ablaze. I've heard some men like to watch the web burn ...

Jared leto on Set

Suicide Squad is set for release 5th August 2016, keep it locked at Cape and Cowl for everything superhero.
