After a roll-out of tons of Batman V Superman merchandise we now have these awesome statues of the Dark Knight and Man of Steel to share with you. These epic collectibles are super-detailed, made of resin and stand around 12 inches tall, the movie likeness is spot on and gives another look at the two comic book titans in action before 'Dawn of Justice' hits theatres in 2016. Take a look at the statues below (click to enlarge).

First up is Ben Affleck's Batman is his classic batsuit, this design is straight out of the comics and predator pose is on point.

Next we have Henry Cavill's Superman, the last son of Krypton is mid-flight and and looking god-like and mighty.

Finally we have the Battle Armour suit that batman will use to take on the Man of Steel, this get up is beastly and we would not want to on the receiving end of those fists, superpowers or not!

Each statue is running at $150 dollars in the US so expect a similar price point here in the UK , they will be available to order January next year. 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is set for release March 25th 2016.

The Batmobile Chases Down The Joker in New "Suicide Squad" Video - Batman is Back in Toronto!

The Batmobile Chases down The Joker in New "Suicide Squad" video

Batman is Back in Toronto!

By Alex Burns

There's been plenty of news from the set of David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" including a look at Task Force X taking up arms and Harley Quinn and The Joker having a domestic under a bridge. Now we've got the Batmobile speeding down the streets of Toronto! We already knew Ben Affleck would be appearing in the movie when he was spotted on-set a little while back but now we know for sure he will be appearing as Batman, he will be coming up against Jared Leto's Joker and he will be behind the wheel of the new Batmobile! The Batmobile is the same one that will be used in Zack Synder's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" and already looks like it will be become a fan-favourite when both films hit cinemas next year. Also worth noting is the Joker's flamboyant purple Lamborghini, complete with neon lighting! Whilst Jared Leto and Ben Affleck weren't present for filming it''s not unusual for action sequences like a car chase to shoot without the actors present, are Affleck and Leto together on a sound stage somewhere creating movie magic? Who knows? We certainly hope so! Check out the videos and let us know your thoughts, for more on "Suicide Squad" keep it locked here at Cape and Cowl.

Check Out New Set-Photos For Captain America: Civil War!

Check Out New Set-Photos For Captain America: Civil War!

Cap and Falcon in Action!

By Alex Burns

Filming has ramped up for Marvel's next big Superhero movie, Captain America: Civil War. Just Jared have caught some excellent snaps of the filming taking place. There's a whole bunch of photos and we get a great look at Chris Evans as Captain America and Anthony Mackie returning as Falcon, we also get a look at Frank Grillo as the Villain Crossbones. Take a look at a few of the shots below (click to enlarge) and follow the link for the full gallery.

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

The Film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo (Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, “Community”) from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. The film returns Chris Evans as the iconic Super Hero character Steve Rogers/Captain America along with Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.

Just looking at the size of the cast you can't help but get excited, we've pretty much got an Avengers sized epic on our hands here and that's not even half of it, expect Paul Rudd to appear as Ant-Man as well as Martin Freeman (The Hobbit Trilogy) in an undisclosed but potentially major role. We'll have more as it comes so keep it locked here at Cape and Cowl for everything Marvel.

Jared Leto is the new Joker! So what can we expect?

Jared Leto is the new Joker!

So what can we expect?

It's recently been anounced that Jared Leto will portray The Joker in Director David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" film. Starring along Will Smith and Margot Robbie, Leto will be the first actor to play The Joker since Heath Ledger's Oscar winning performance in the 2008 monster-hit "The Dark Knight". Since the announcement we've had a few tid-bits released and so far so good! It seems Jared Leto is keen to make sure he puts his personal stamp on the iconic character.

“Jared wants to make sure his Joker is not only something the fans will love, but he doesn’t want to step on the toes of Jack Nicholson or Heath Ledger,” an insider tells Hollywood Life. “He wants to make the character completely his own. He knows that this role may be his most difficult ever, but he is confident that he will make his version of the Joker the best. This Joker will be more cerebral and comedic than what we have seen before, nobody should expect a copycat version. It’s going to be awesome!”

Heath Ledger's turn as The Joker earned him a posthumous Oscar
Leto's star is certainly in the ascendancy after he bagged an Oscar for his fantastic performance in "Dallas Buyers Club". The announcement hasn't been met with the same backlash as Heath Ledger's was and hopefully this is a good indication that Warner Bros have found the right man for the job. Leto has described the character as "majestic" and likens the comic book source material to Shakespeare, already we can see how seriously the Actor is taking the role.

Leto in "Dallas Buyers Club"
Much has been made of how Leto will look as The Clown Prince of Crime on screen. Thanks to social media outlets, Leto's most recent haircut, pictured below, has been taken as gospel for The Joker having bleach blonde hair. We're fairly sure here at Cape and Cowl that the bleached look is just to make the eventual green dye stick during shooting. Of course it could just be another outlandish haircut from Leto himself, let's not forget he fronts rock band 30 Seconds To Mars

To dye or not to dye...
So what do you guys think? Will Leto be able to escape the shadow of Heath Ledger? We certainly help so! "Suicide Squad" bows August 5th 2016.
