The CW have released a selection of photos from the first episode of season 2 of 'The Flash'. The images should ramp up excitement for the year ahead, we get a look at Central City celebrating The Flash but things don't stay peaceful for long as a new villain emerges. Grant Gustin is back as everyones favourite speedster along with Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell who reprise their roles as anti-heroes Captain Cold and Heatwave and that's not all as there are even few more surprise appearances in this episode. You can be sure there will be plenty of super powered action going down so make sure you don't miss this one. Check out the photos below.
At the end of Season 1 Barry Allen finally uncovered the truth of his mother's murder and defeated arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash). When the dust settled however a new threat emerged as a singularity loomed high above Central City destroying everything in it's path. Ready to plunge into the unknown Barry used his super speed to soar into the eye of the singularity, will he be able to rescue his beloved city and what exactly awaits our hero on the other side?
The Flash returns second in October on Sky 1 here in the UK.
