Wonder Woman Crosses $700 Million Worldwide

The #1 DCEU Film Domestically

By Alex Burns

Warner Bros. Pictures' Wonder Woman performed another incredible feat at the box office this weekend by passing the $700 million mark worldwide. This puts the Patty Jenkins' directed feature firmly into the top 100 grossing films of all time with a tally standing at $708,444,475 at the time of writing.

Wonder Woman began out-pacing all other DC Extended Universe movies in the US over the last two weeks and over the course of the last few days the film has officially passed the final tally of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($330,360,194) to become the highest-grossing entry into the series so far. Finishing fourth overall in it's fifth weekend, the superhero film added $15.57 million for a domestic total of 346,644,475 and counting. Internationally the film added $13.6 million for an overseas haul of over $360 million.

Wonder Woman's box office performance continues to impress and gives Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment a big win for their hopes of an interconnected superhero universe on film to span decades. The critical reception of the film has also been overwhelmingly positive and now the focus will be on Zack Snyder's Justice League to deliver equally if not better in November this year.
