New Wonder Woman Film Photo Revealed

New Wonder Woman Film Photo Revealed

A Senselessly Dark World

By Steve Carter

Check out this explosive new shot (via Empire) of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman! The iconic DC Comics hero will make her fist live-action solo film debut next year and this action set-piece is one of many reasons we can't wait to check out the finished movie!

Director Patty Jenkins has also elaborated on the World War I setting and how it shapes Diana's perception of Man's World.

“My approach was to focus on telling the story of mechanised war and how that would look to a god visiting our world for the first time,” Jenkins told Empire. “I wanted the audience to understand the horrors that a war on this scale makes possible and how shocking that would be to someone who comes with a strong sense of honour and justice. She doesn’t realise yet just how senselessly dark the world can be.”

“What motivates her is philosophical,”
Jenkins said about Wonder Woman. “She believes in goodness and love. [She] is fierce and willing to fight, but only to protect a better vision for mankind. Hers is really a coming-of-age story.”

Wonder Woman is set for release June 2017.

Gal Gadot takes on the lead role of Diana Prince as we explore the origins of Wonder Woman who appeared earlier in the year in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Gadot will also take a leading role alongside Batman, The Flash and other DC heroes in Zack Snyder's Justice League set for release November 17th 2017.
