New Wonder Woman Film Photo Revealed

New Wonder Woman Film Photo Revealed

A Senselessly Dark World

By Steve Carter

Check out this explosive new shot (via Empire) of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman! The iconic DC Comics hero will make her fist live-action solo film debut next year and this action set-piece is one of many reasons we can't wait to check out the finished movie!

Director Patty Jenkins has also elaborated on the World War I setting and how it shapes Diana's perception of Man's World.

“My approach was to focus on telling the story of mechanised war and how that would look to a god visiting our world for the first time,” Jenkins told Empire. “I wanted the audience to understand the horrors that a war on this scale makes possible and how shocking that would be to someone who comes with a strong sense of honour and justice. She doesn’t realise yet just how senselessly dark the world can be.”

“What motivates her is philosophical,”
Jenkins said about Wonder Woman. “She believes in goodness and love. [She] is fierce and willing to fight, but only to protect a better vision for mankind. Hers is really a coming-of-age story.”

Wonder Woman is set for release June 2017.

Gal Gadot takes on the lead role of Diana Prince as we explore the origins of Wonder Woman who appeared earlier in the year in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Gadot will also take a leading role alongside Batman, The Flash and other DC heroes in Zack Snyder's Justice League set for release November 17th 2017.

Batman, Wonder Woman & The Flash Unite in New Justice League Photo

Batman, Wonder Woman & The Flash Unite in New Justice League Photo

Stand Against Evil

By Alex Burns

Check out a brand new shot of Batman (Ben Affleck), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) from the director Zack Snyder's upcoming Justice League film. It remains to be seen what these iconic heroes are facing up against in this shot but we're certainly looking forward to finding out!

A new trailer for the film is also expected to drop very soon, so we'll keep you posted on that!

The image was revealed via EW who also spoke with Ezra Miller, who had this to say regarding his new role as The Flash:

“Flash is Ringo Starr, he annoys everybody, but he doesn’t have any specific beef with anyone…Uncle Fish Curry (Aquaman])is very grumpy. Dad (Batman) gets grumpy too. Wonder Woman is very considerate, so even though she’s annoyed with the Flash, she’s still very compassionate.”

Fueled by the hero’s restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Justice League sees Bruce Wayne enlist the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is set for release November 17th 2017.

David Ayer and Margot Robbie Reteam for Gotham City Sirens!

David Ayer and Margot Robbie Reteam for Gotham City Sirens

Fiendish Female Foes!

By Ashley Samuel

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Suicide Squad director David Ayer will reunite with his Harley Quinn - Margot Robbie and helm a Gotham City Sirens film! DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. had previously revealed plans to introduce more female characters from the DC Comics library after the positive audience reaction to Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Robbie's Harley Quinn. If the film follows the comic book of the same name it's fairly likely that we will see new live-action versions of Poison Ivy and Catwoman as well.

We're sure to see Ben Affleck's Batman feature and other female Bat-Family heroes could feature like Batgirl and Huntress. It will certainly be an interesting story to watch unfold as DC are planning a sequel to Suicide Squad and a solo spin-off film featuring Will Smith's Deadshot. All those films could form an interconnected story to run alongside the more epic in scope Justice League films.

Margot Robbie's stock has risen after the box office success of Suicide Squad and will also executive produce Gotham City Sirens alongside Ayer. Jon Berg and Geoff Johns, will be continuing their new roles as creative leads on the DCEU and will assist producing the film.

The next DC extended universe film will be Director Patty Jenkin's Wonder Woman - set for release June 2, 2017 - followed by Zack Snyder's Justice League film - set for release November 17th, 2017.
