Official Synopsis for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'
More Details Plus a "New Threat"
By Alex Burns
Warner Bros. are ramping up promotion for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'. The superhero epic hits theatres next year and the blockbuster studio are drumming up major interest in the movie with the 2015 Licensing Expo taking place in Las Vegas this week. The studio have issued an official synopsis which gives a pretty cool summary of what we can expect from the film.
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Of course we already know that the dark knight and man of steel aren't gonna be the best of buds, that much was a given, what is interesting however, is the "new threat" mentioned in the synopsis. There's been a lot of buzz as to what role Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will play in the film, with Batman and Superman duking it out you'd be forgiven for thinking that the bald super-genius was a little surplus to requirements. Not so we feel as this official synopsis confirms that we can expect some kind of villain to present a big enough challenge that requires Batman and Superman to stop exchanging blows and start dispensing justice working together. Will Luthour be providing the geater challenge? If so, will Batman and Superman be enough to stop it? We already know Gal Gadot will feature as Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa is expected to feature as Aquaman, could 'Dawn of Justice' be laying the ground work for 2017's 'Justice League: Part one'? Who knows? We seriously cannot wait to find out though!
