Paul Bettany Wraps on Han Solo Film
Ron Howard Continues on Project
By Franco Dionisio
Paul Bettany has wrapped on Disney and Lucasfilm's Untitled Han Solo Spin-Off Story. Ron Howard, having taken over directing duties earlier in the year, has been sharing plenty of pictures from the set and in this tweet we get a great look at Bettany in full costume. Bettany's character in the film is still unconfirmed, who do you think he will be playing?
Had to say goodbye to my friend @Paul_Bettany today. Another terrific performance from a world class talent. pic.twitter.com/6jkNKQNQZZ— Ron Howard (@RealRonHoward) September 16, 2017
The Han Solo origin film will explore a seven-year period in Han's life from 18 -24 and will provide the back story for how he came to be the smuggler we all know and love in A New Hope.
The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. Woody Harrelson will play Han’s mentor, a man by the name of Beckett, while Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Michael K. Williams and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are attached in undisclosed roles.
The Han Solo film is still set for a May 25, 2018 release.
