New Logan Image and James Mangold Grounds the Hero

Empire Magazine have revealed a new image for Hugh Jackman's final outing as Wolverine in the highly -anticipated film - "Logan". Director James Mangold has also spoken to the outlet and addressed the conclusion of this particular X-Man's cinematic story.

“The goal was to make something human,” Mangold told the outlet. “We made an effort to scale back on the gloss and greenscreen…If you’re on the make for a hyper choreographed, gravity defying, city-block destroying CG f***athon, this ain’t your movie.”

We are all for a more grounded and intimate Wolverine film and the introduction of X-23 (Dafne Keen) looks to be a welcome addition that should help showcase the more human side to Logan's character.

Set in 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men at the hands of a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex. With Logan's healing abilities slowly fading and Xavier's Alzheimer's hampering his memory, Logan must defeat Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Wolverine and alongside him Patrick Stewart reprises his role as Professor X, Richard E. Grant also joins the cast and is suspected to play the main villain, Mr Sinister, Boyd Holbrook plays Donald Pierce and Stephen Merchant plays Caliban.
