Star Wars Episode VIII Delayed Until December 2017

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

By Alex Burns

Disney have confirmed that the next instalment in the Star Wars saga has been delayed until December 15th 2017. So we have to wait a little longer for Episode VIII, I'm sure this news will actually be received positively from the Star Wars fanbase as it just means the new trilogy will now last longer, all the buzz and excitement is part of the fun of these movies. No one should be in a rush for these movies to hit cinema screens sooner and frankly the two year gap is still a little too short for my tastes!

The next Pirates of the Caribbean movie, 'Dead Men Tell No Tales', will take Episode VIII's original May 26th release and it seems Disney are keen to repeat the record-shattering box office success of The Force Awakens in the December release window with the Rian Johnson directed Episode VIII.

We'll have more details on everything Star Wars so keep it locked at Cape and Cowl.
