Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man Reboot Changes Release Date

Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man Reboot Changes Release Date

The Star Wars Effect

By Alex Burns

Sony Pictures have announced that their co-produced with Marvel Studios Spider-Man reboot has altered it's release date. That's right the new Spidey feature will bow on July 7th 2017 instead of it's original July 28th 2017 release. July 7th was set for Pirates of the Caribbean: Daed Men Tell No Tales but that has jumped to occupy Star Wars: Episode VIII's old release date of May 27th as that film has now moved to December 17th the same year.

It's worth noting that Disney calls the shots on all these features so they really have had a juggle behind the scenes to accomodate the move of Star Wars Episode VIII which was announced earlier today. Tom Holland takes on the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the hired reboot of the popular Marvel chracter in two decades. Spidey will make an appearance in Captain AMerica: Civil War. We'll have more on the MCU developments as they come so keep it locked at Cape and Cowl.
