Holy reunion Batman! Burt Ward has announced a new animated film based on the 1966 Batman TV series will be released next year. Consequences of Sound (via /Film) brings word on the announcement which took place at the Batman panel at the Mad Monster Party in Charlotte, North Carolina this weekend, Burt Ward's full quote is as follows:
“You can look forward to a new animated Batman, full length 90-minute feature, coming out on the 50th anniversary. One of possibly two, but for sure one, that Adam and I are doing the voices for,”
Pretty sweet eh? Ward and West have reunited for specials in the past but this is the first time modern animation will play a part. We'll have more news as it comes but if you're a fan of the 60's show then this will surely brighten your afternoon.
“Batman: The TV Series” ran for 120 episodes from 1966 to 1968, It has recently been remastered for release in a limited edition which you can buy by clicking here.
