More On-Set Photos From Captain America: Civil War - Robert Downey Jr., Scarlet Johansson, Jeremy Renner and More

More On-Set Photos From Captain America: Civil War

Robert Downey Jr, Scarlet Johansson, Jeremy Renner and More

By Alex Burns

There's been a whole bunch of on-set photos released for Captain America: Civil War as shooting cointinues. We've got some of the best shots here to share with you beautiful people, so lets get this show on the road, starting with the main man himself, Chris Evans as Cap.

Cap squares up against the villainous Crossbones, played by Frank Grillo who returns from his last appearance in "The Winter Soldier". After the events at the end of that film Crossbones hides his gruesome scars behind armour and a black mask.

Captain America wasn't the only Avenger on-set though as Robert Downey Jr visited the shoot...

...whilst Scarlet Johansson got stuck into some action-sequences as Black Widow...

... and Elizabeth Olsen returned as The Scarlet Witch, in a new green jacket, showing off some magic-type hand gesture stuff.

Although Hawkeye hasn't been spotted on-set as of yet, Jeremy Renner must have felt pretty left out with all his co-stars having their photo taken and what-not, so he's helped us out with this in-costume tweet from the shoot.

Pretty cool, so that's all for now folks, Captain America: Civil War is certainly looking like Avengers 2.5 right now, we know it's going to be really exciting to see how the film develops with so many heroes featuring, we'll keep you covered of course, so keep it locked here at Cape and Cowl for everything Superhero.

The Set-Up for Infinity War

By Alex Burns

Avengers: Age of Ultron is lighting up cash registers at Cinemas across the globe and everyone and their Grandma can't wait for what's coming next. When the dust settles on Ultron all attention will be on next year's Captain America: Civil War which promises to divide the Marvel Cinematic universe into two opposing sides. During an Interview with MTV, Captain America himself, Chris Evans, discussed the film and how the events in Civil War will influence the “real battle” in the two part epic Avengers: Infinity War.

“It’s to jump off into the next Avengers, Infinity War,” Evans said. “So Cap 3 is going to be the set-up of the real battle, so there are a lot of people.”

Mark Ruffalo also revealed that The Hulk wouldn't feature in the film, that makes sense when you consider the ending of Age of Ultron but this did result in an interesting response from Scarlett Johansson “Well you never know, there’s always time…I’ll talk to the Russos about it.” Make of that what you will!

Civil War will deal with a serious conflict between Captain America and Iron Man that forces the rest of the Avengers to pick a side, Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson revealed that they know which hero's “side” they’ll be on, but wouldn’t reveal a name.

Some apparent promo art for Civil War has also made it's way online, it's unconfirmed whether this is legit or not but either way it's an incredible image and in-keeping with previous Marvel promotional material. If it is the real deal it provides an interesting look at new costumes for both heroes and of course shows that these two guys will most definitely not be getting along!

The cast for Captain America: Civil War is seriously impressive and just looking at how many Marvel heroes will feature you'd be forgiven for mistaking it for an Avengers film! In addition to Evans, Renner, and Johansson “Civil War” stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Anthony Mackie as The Falcon, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Daniel Bruhl as Baron Helmut Zemo, Frank Grillo as Crossbones, and of course the brand-new Spider-Man who is yet to be cast.

Directed by the Russo Brothers, who will also helm the upcoming two-part Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War is set for release May 6, 2016 and remember for everything Superhero, keep it locked here at Cape and Cowl.
