Excitement is on the rise for the future of Marvel at Netflix after the positive release of Luke Cage Season 1 last month and now this brand new Iron Fist trailer from NYCC!


K'un-Lun saved him. Lei Kung trained him. And now, Danny Rand is back to fight for what's his.

The trailer was shown during Marvel#s Iron Fist panel which included Finn Jones (Danny Rand), Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), Jessica Stroup (Joy Meachum), Tom Pelphrey (Ward Meachum), David Wenham (Harold Meachum), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) and showrunner and Executive Producer, Scott Buck. The panel was moderated by Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Television.

In a suprise announcement Sigourney Weaver also joined the panel on stage at NYCC as the actress was confirmed to play the main villain for The Defenders.

“Marvel is honored to have an actress of her caliber and status join what is already our biggest show ever! She is by definition a class act,” said Jeph Loeb.

“Sigourney Weaver, what more is there to say,” said Cindy Holland,Vice President of original content at Netflix. “She’s a formidable actress and we are thrilled to have her join our remarkable cast alongside Charlie, Krysten, Mike and Finn.”


Now let the speculation as to which villain Weaver will be playing commence!
