'Suicide Squad' - High Res Photos Provide a Closer look at Task Force X

How Many of These Villains will Survive the Mission?

By Alex Burns

We got positively spoiled last week with Empire's cover feature on the upcoming 'Suicide Squad' movie. Not only did we get four sweetly stylish cover images for The Joker and co. but the article itself provided a wonderful insight into the movie. The new photos showcased in the article are now online in a much higher quality and provide a great look at the rest of the cast as well as the actor's comments on their respective roles. Take a gander.

Joel Kinnaman was quoted saying the following about Rick Flag: “Flag is the highest-level operator working for the government. He’s had lots of friends die and has killed many, many people… Deadshot gives him the most problems. Harley is easily distracted, but up for following orders if it means destroying things.”

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje on Killer Croc: “He’s a cannibal with rage issues. Although he only eats the most talented people. He’s picky.”

Jay Hernandez on Diablo: “Most of these guys are happy to get out there and kill people, but he just wants to stay out of the fight.”

Jai Courtney on Captain Boomerang: “He’s an absolute bogan, in the purest sense. Dave’s first instruction was ‘Find your inner s**tbag.'”

Adam Beach on Slipknot: “He’s formidable. He can climb anything, and he hands people for a living. I joke that he was caught strangling Wonder Woman.”

Karen Fukuhara on Katana: “She has morals and codes. She can also slice through hundreds of people without taking a breath.”

There's also more pictures from the set and better looks at Harley Quinn and The Joker after some fuzzy images made there way online, check 'em out!

The movie will connect into the new DC universe on-film and Ben Affleck is set to reprise his role as Batman as the dark knight was glimpsed in the comic-con trailer and snapped as Bruce Wayne on set during filming in Toronto. Batman has been cited as the reason the villains are in captivity in the first place and are only released for a suicide mission by the head of Cadmus - Amanda Waller - who will be played by Viola Davis. The objective of the mission remains a mystery but whatever these rogues will be facing expect casualties.

'Suicide Squad' is directed by David Ayer and also stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevigne as Enchantress and Jared Leto as The Joker. The film is set for release August 5th 2016 and will be the first DC Extended universe movie to follow the release of 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' on March 25th the same year.
