Director Shares Aquaman Set Pic as Filming Begins

Aquaman director, James Wan has shared this photo from the set of the superhero movie, filming on the Warner Bros. blockbuster begins today. The photo features what looks to be the inside of a submarine and a clapperboard with the film's working title "Ahab".



You can catch Aquaman make his first proper movie appearance in Snyder's Justice League film after his cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The solo film will likely flesh out the the underwater hero and his origins with a struggle between Atlanteans and Humans expected to put his powers to the test. Jason Momoa stars in the title role and Amber Heard also stars as Princess Mera. Patrick Wilson will play Aquaman's Atlantean half-brother Orm, who in the comics eventually becomes the villainous Ocean Master. Willem Defoe also features as Vulko an Atlantean scientist and historian, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is Black Manta, and Dolph Lundgren is King Nereus


Justice League is set for release on November 17th 2017.

Aquaman is set for release December 21st, 2018.
