Chris Evans talks Captain America: Civil War

The Set-Up for Infinity War

Avengers: Age of Ultron is lighting up cash registers at Cinemas across the globe and everyone and their Grandma can't wait for what's coming next. When the dust settles on Ultron all attention will be on next year's Captain America: Civil War which promises to divide the Marvel Cinematic universe into two opposing sides. During an Interview with MTV, Captain America himself, Chris Evans, discussed the film and how the events in Civil War will influence the “real battle” in the two part epic Avengers: Infinity War.

“It’s to jump off into the next Avengers, Infinity War,” Evans said. “So Cap 3 is going to be the set-up of the real battle, so there are a lot of people.”

Mark Ruffalo also revealed that The Hulk wouldn't feature in the film, that makes sense when you consider the ending of Age of Ultron but this did result in an interesting response from Scarlett Johansson “Well you never know, there’s always time…I’ll talk to the Russos about it.” Make of that what you will!

Civil War will deal with a serious conflict between Captain America and Iron Man that forces the rest of the Avengers to pick a side, Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson revealed that they know which hero's “side” they’ll be on, but wouldn’t reveal a name.

Some apparent promo art for Civil War has also made it's way online, it's unconfirmed whether this is legit or not but either way it's an incredible image and in-keeping with previous Marvel promotional material. If it is the real deal it provides an interesting look at new costumes for both heroes and of course shows that these two guys will most definitely not be getting along!

The cast for Captain America: Civil War is seriously impressive and just looking at how many Marvel heroes will feature you'd be forgiven for mistaking it for an Avengers film! In addition to Evans, Renner, and Johansson “Civil War” stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Anthony Mackie as The Falcon, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Daniel Bruhl as Baron Helmut Zemo, Frank Grillo as Crossbones, and of course the brand-new Spider-Man who is yet to be cast.

Directed by the Russo Brothers, who will also helm the upcoming two-part Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War is set for release May 6, 2016 and remember for everything Superhero, keep it locked here at Cape and Cowl.
